The objects and surfaces must be clean. Remove any dirt, dust, oil, water, etc.
Before you start work, do a test spray. Use a box or spray on to a poster for the purpose. During the test you can try out different spray settings and flow rates.
Stir the paint before you start work and if necessary thin it.
Even though you are spraying the paint, the paint still has to be layered in accordance with the specifications made by the paint manufacturer.
The distance to the object should be about 10-20 cm.
Use the cross-coat technique. This means that you should spray the area again in a criss-cross sequence. .
The mixer is used when you are thinning and stirring the paint. It is very simple to use. The mixer is placed on the bottom of the filled paint container. The clearance between the grooves indicates a dilution of 10%. Now simply add water and mix. You can use the tip to remove paint that has dried on the nozzle.
The grease is used on the one hand to preserve and on the other to lubricate the piston during quick and frequent lift movements. To ensure both characteristics at all times, the piston should be lubricated whenever it has been left unused for a longer period of time (several days).
This is not generally a guarantee issue. When pressure drops or the material (paint) is no longer sucked up it is usually wear-and-tear parts that are responsible. These are not included in the warranty. However you can purchase a repair set. If the problem persists, please send the device to a WAGNER service point for more precise analysis.
In consumer airless devices, the name indicates the maximum size of the nozzle that can be used. For example, P117 means that with this device the paint can be sprayed with a 17" nozzle at the most.
Each device generally has its own repair set, which includes important parts in the event of a service. In addition to this it also includes filters, nozzles and other individual wear-and-tear parts such as O-rings or seals.
The two bigger project models, 117 and 119, are available in two different versions; a standard version, which is only for the DIY market and DIY usage. Commercial use is not covered by warranty. There are also the semi-professional devices, ProjectPro 117 and ProjectPro119. These devices are fitted with guns and accessories of a higher quality and are designed to be used by smaller, commercial businesses. However, it is important to mention that all spare parts and wear-and-tear parts in our range of Project devices have a much shorter running life than comparable parts in the Professional segment.
This problem is described in the Operating Manual and explained in the form of pictures and text. A so-called streak is the result when the spraying pressure of the device is too low, the nozzle is too big or the paint too thin. This problem can be avoided by adjusting one or all of these criteria.
There are 2 reasons against spraying exterior paint. Technically speaking, exterior paints have a much higher proportion of silicates, which give it a thicker consistency and mean that the paint has coarser particles. The motors in our Project devices are not strong enough, or rather, the maximum size nozzles for the devices are too small to contend with these characteristics.
Another important reason that speaks against spraying exterior paint is the protection of neighbouring objects. German legislation prohibits the spraying of paint outdoors in order to protect the surrounding neighbourhood. WAGNER explicitly emphasises that it does not provide any guarantee
No (please see the questions about exterior paint). Lime washes contain so-called silicates, which have a strong sanding effect. These particles in combination with high pressure or a high flow of air will wear the required seals and valves in the devices to such an extent that the parts are likely to break down prematurely.
A throbbing spray jet indicates that the paint has been thinned too much or that the paint is generally too thin. To avoid the throbbing, the paint should not be diluted to such an extent or you need to attach a smaller nozzle size (optional accessory).
If the W95 is making a buzzing sound, one of the pistons is likely to be jammed (stuck or locked). This problem can be rectified by lightly hitting the top of the piston. The piston is freed and the device runs normally again.
The Perfect Spray logos is a seal of quality for simple, quick and clean application of paint that produces a perfect result by spraying and using our nozzle technology. The logo also helps find the right paints and lacquers for spraying. Manufacturers offer special paints for spraying that do not need to be diluted. The red logo is for vinyls and lacquers and the green logo is for wall paints.
With the "Click & Paint" system you can change the spray attachment easily with the paint or the material. This means that you can use different spray attachments for individual projects, no matter whether you are using wall paint, enamel or lacquers.
